The government has set out its living with Covid plan.

All remaining legal restrictions in England have been removed. This means that people who test positive for Covid in England are no longer legally required to self-isolate.

So, what does it mean for you and your business?

Here at Risk and Safety Plus we will continue to carry out lateral flow tests for staff coming into the office until the end of March as part of our duty of care. This decision was made in consultation with the Risk and Safety Plus team, which is vital to ensure peace of mind and indeed compliance.

I recognise that getting staff back into the workplace may be met with some resistance and it is essential that relevant risk assessments are carried out to minimise staff issues and legal challenges.

If your staff are continuing to work from home then employers still have the same duty of care responsibilities and need to manage risk including:

• Slips, trips and falls
• Fire
• Lifting
• Electrical equipment
• DSE (Display screen assessment and posture
